São Bento Front Homy Studio

the whole city seems to be one giant construction site. Otherwise very pretty along the river front.

Pros: Clean and well appointed apartment. Handy location directly opposite the station and Timeout market. Walking distance to everything.

Cons: Lack of A/C and zero ventilation made the place stuffy unless you opened both the windows and the front door. This of course lets you enjoy the the sounds of the construction site opposite. This was known about in advance and the insulation means that it's not intrusive as long as the windows are closed.

Pros: The studio is very comfortable and in an ideal location, very close to all the main attractions, so you can walk everywhere. The hosts were very attentive and always willing to help. I spent an amazing week here and I highly recommend it! Thank you 🙌🏽

Cons: There was construction right in front of the building, it seems many streets in Porto are being renovated, so just be aware there may be some noise in the morning, but this is not a negative point about the studio itself, is a external point.

Lovely, compact, clean

Pros: In a very busy spot, only a short stroll to cafes and bars and nice - but busy- walks to everywhere else. It is small, a studio apartment but exactly what we needed

Cons: The property was lovely, unfortunately the noisy building work right outside meant we couldnt keep the windows open

Pros: Had everything you need including a washing machine

Cons: There was construction near by and the door to the apartment building was down an alleyway.

Pros: Perfectly located and has all the amenities a travelling couple needs including a washing machine. It is a great base for exploring Porto!

Cons: There is some construction for the metro outside but it is not too noisy. Everything was great

Pros: The location was excellent. It was a good-sized room with plenty of facilities. We had a nice balcony.

Cons: We struggled to figure out door codes as the code for the apartment was listed before the code to the building, which confused us. Once we figured it out it was very easy.

I would definitely book the same place if I go back

Pros: The property was so handy to the train station, and lots of cafes close by. We had a fun evening just people watching on the balcony while drinking the fine wines of Portugal.

Great location - close to transport - a good base to explore from and enjoy Porto.

Pros: I elected to arrive late after midnight so the host was gracious enough to meet me at the apartment. Its location in Sao Bento is great and you’re very much in the centre of activities. It’s literally within throwing distance of the Porto Metro. In the morning turn right and you have an abundance of cafes to chose from! The apartment is modern, compact the kitchen has an induction hob, oven, kettle and toaster etc. Also a clothes washer which is a plus. Central heating the radiator provides ample heat to make the apartment cosy. Access is by a stairwell.

Cons: Sao Bento is normally well lit up but when I arrived poorly lit and shadows so the entrance is hard to discover. However the host came to the rescue. Situated close to railway station it attracts the homeless and certain unsavoury characters especially in the later hours of the night and morning. This is common throughout Europe. Currently there is major construction underway as they are expanding the Metro this is directly opposite the apartment. The double glazing attenuated some of the noise but construction goes late into the night ie past 9:30 pm. The apartment has plenty of cupboard space down the hallway but not where the bed is if you wish to place your bag. somewhere.
