Lusitania Garden Apartment - Jardim Privado

Would recommend.

Pros: Lovely apartment, clean, spacious with lots of the necessities. It’s a clever design with the pod style bedroom and bathrooms, not the best if soundproof in the second bedroom is a necessity. My son loved the garden despite it needing a mow. We turned the ensuite into a hot room with the heated towel rack and bar heater which worked wonders to get all clothes dry in the wet weather.

Cons: There was no cloth for washing dishes or wiping the surfaces so we had to make do with paper towel. The saucepan needs replacing as does the clothes aired which is rusted and broken.

Beautiful

Pros: A welcome bottle of rose wine from owners was a lovely surprise. Beautiful accommodation very comfy bed and pillows. Having 2 bathrooms with one en-suite was a bonus as too was the private outside garden

Cons: Nothing to dislike about the property

Great place to stay in Porto

Pros: Really liked having an outdoor space in the evening. And I'd recommend Cafe Santiago just round the corner for the Francesina Sandwich (a local very high calorie delicacy!!)

Good apartment for 2 people.

Pros: Well appointed for cooking, including oil,salt & pepper. Light filled property. Master bedroom with ensuite was very comfortable.

Cons: The second bedroom has not sound barrier from the living/dining/kitchen area. There is no dish washer.

Good location with welcoming hosts and a well-appointed apartment, but no lift.

Pros: Well located, with a warm welcome from two hosts who met us at the apartment on arrival. The welcome bottle of wine was a lovely gesture. The apartment was well appointed with stylish decor and excellent air conditioning — and great towels too!

Cons: While the main bed was reasonably comfortable, it was very low to get in and out of. This wouldn't suit everyone. There was also no lift for luggage, and the bathrooms were on the smaller side.

Quality time in Porto

Pros: A very large apartment with quite unique geometry of rooms. A perfected sized garden reached directly from the kitchen. The bad from the master bedroom was very comfortable. We slept like babies. The kitchen is very well equipped. The living room is very generous. The apartment is 3 min walking to Praça dos Poveiros, where you can find the best Francezinhas in town. We strongly recommend Cerimónias Steakhouse restaurant just across the street where we experienced a wonderful Tomahawk steak. The location is no more than 20-30 minutes walking to the main touristic sites in Porto. Thank you, lady Soraya and your son, for such a good accommodation.

Perfect for a stay even in colder months

Pros: One of the nicest apartments we ever stayed in. Purpose designed for renting out, it seems, thus working very well. It is also properly isolated with good windows, so getting it warm via the air con wasn't a problem, even in February. There is also an extra radiator to get started. Everything else, cleanliness, location and the very friendly hosts were perfect, too. Also the beds and bathrooms.

Cons: Not a big thing for us, but the apartment doesn't have a dishwasher. And something to be at least aware of is that one of the rooms isn't fully closed up to the ceiling. Architecturally that makes perfect sense and it wasn't a problem for us as a small family. But for certain groups sleeping in that room while someone is still hanging out in the living room might be a bit too noisy.

Really perfect stay!

Pros: Everything was OK, no complaints at all. The host Gustavo was friendly and helpful, the location of apartment is good to enjoy the city of Porto on foot. There is even a small garden behind the house. Highly recommended!

Wonderful location and great apartment with everything we needed

Pros: Wonderful space! Beautifully decorated and warm. We felt at home immediately. The owners were great and gave us many recommendations! They were so friendly and responsive. The apartment was so clean!!! The location was great and close to markets, restaurants and sights! Also a wonderful wine! We want to come back!!
