Backyard Palace Terrace

Excellent stay in a beautiful historic city in a fabulous apartment. We will be back.

Pros: Excellent location on the main shopping street in Porto, five minutes from the nearest metro stop. Beautifully clean, and a lovely welcome from Pedro who was so helpful and knowledgeable. Perfect accommodation for 2 couples with one room on the other side of a spacious terrace. Very comfy beds and good showers with plenty of hot water.

Cons: No negatives for us, we had a brilliant stay.

Very comfortable, good location

Pros: Very nice apartment. Had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Pedro met us and showed us how everything worked and was very helpful. We chose to sleep in the 2nd bedroom to avoid any potential noise from upstairs neighbours and it was very quiet. Nice terrace to sit out with a glass of wine.

Cons: If you are using the 2nd bedroom, you need to leave the main apartment door ajar, as there is no access if that door is closed. It felt very safe and I don’t think there was any risk of anyone entering the open property, but I think that door needs replaced with a locking one for security and safety. We lived in fear it would be accidentally shut and we would be stranded on the terrace with no escape. It’s fine if others are using the main apartment as they can let you in, but we were just 2.

We had an amazing stay here. Location is fantastic, people are fantastic, Porto is beautiful.

Pros: Location was perfect, we were within walking distance of everything. Lots of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, a shopping mall and a beautiful market close by. The apartment was so big, lots of space for my kids to play and for us to relax. We really loved the big outdoor terrace space. There was a dishwasher and fridge with a small freezer and a washer-dryer. I felt very safe in the area, and the apartment felt safe and secure too. We really felt welcomed and looked after by Pedro. We stayed 6 nights, and had the apartment cleaned halfway through. Aircon and wifi were excellent. The Metro, which brought us directly to the airport 2-minute walk away. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Cons: We did not have an issue with this, but the floorboards are noisy, so we could hear walking in the apartment above. Only really noticeable in the evening. It did not bother us, but it is something to consider if you are more sensitive to noise. And we had one guest staying beneath us, on our 4th night, asking us to be quiet, which can be hard to do with young, excited kids. Also, the second bedroom (beautiful and no noise here) is on the other side of the outdoor terrace, and the main apartment is locked from the inside. Our young family go to bed early and wakes up early too, so this really did not bother us. One parent and one child slept in each space, and a little knock on the door in the morning, and we were all together again! Thank you - we hope to come back again someday!

A perfect base for seeing all the wonderful places in Porto.

Pros: The property was amazing. Ideal for two friends, two couples, single person or a couple. One spacious bright room with kitchen, table, sofa, full double bed and a separate bathroom. A second spacious bright bedroom with a bathroom right across a lovely patio area which can be lit up at night. Fantastic location on a pedestrian street so close to the Metro station with lots of restaurants and shops but in the apartment all you heard were the birds.

Cons: It could have done with a few hooks or rails for towels in the bathrooms.

The Backyard Palace Terrace was a great place to stay.

Pros: The location was fine, plenty of shops and cafes in this area. There are many lovely places to explore in Porto. The apartment was very nice and the patio area was great.

Cons: The one light in the kitchen made this area darker than we would have liked even when there was full sun. This was not a huge problem for us as we only used the kitchen to make drinks.

Pros: Very lovely apartment. So clean. Great two rooms separate for a family like us as mother and adult son❤️ Terrace is perfect in the midle of these rooms. Beds most comfortable. Location is very good. Easy access everywhere. Very friendly host. I highly recommend!

Cons: There was a dog barking nearby all day long. It s not ” house’ s fault and they gave us late check out as compensation . We appreciated that.

Pros: 两间带独立洗手间的房间，跟朋友入住互不打扰，非常舒适。房屋管理员服务很好，因提早到，我们寄存行李到他们另一间屋子，之后他主动用自家车载我们去住的公寓入住。

Cons: 主卧的卫生间设施老旧，淋浴之后下水道不通畅

Soggiorno nel cuore di Porto

Pros: Struttura in pieno centro, a due passi dal meraviglioso mercato Bolhao, in Rua Santa Caterina. Molto accogliente, divisa in due ambienti da un terrazzo attrezzato, con due letti matrimoniali e due bagni più un piccolo soggiorno con divano, tv, tavolo da pranzo e angolo cottura. Letti super comodi, aria condizionata (rara in Portogallo), host premuroso. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Pros: Si tratta di una casa vacanze situata in Rua Santa Catarina , una via piena di negozi e ristoranti.Eravamo due amici ed alloggiavamo in unità abitative separate dal terrazzo.I locali erano molto puliti ed arredati con gusto.La mia camera era molto silenziosa mentre quella della mia amica era piuttosto rumorosa ,anche di notte, ma questo purtroppo non dipende dalla struttura, bensì dai vicini un po' chiassosi.Pedro il gestore del nostro appartamento si è dimostrato molto gentile e premuroso nei nostri riguardi.

Cons: La serratura della porta di ingresso è difettosa.
