Special location, lovely views and easy transport links.

Pros: Excellent location. Nice apartment in very old building. Tiny balcony made it for us. Excellent transport links into town and down to the coast.

Cons: Very noisy spot! Day and into the late evening. Need earplugs! Uncomfortable pillows.

Everything to Love

Pros: I loved everything about my three nights stay st Porto Douro River Guest House. It was in a fabulous location with a sweet balcony & large windows showcasing a stunning view of the river. The trams ran past the apartment, and bus stops were conveniently located right out front to catch bus in whichever direction you should choose. Cristina was a lovely, friendly helpful host. Communication was excellent and easy as were directions to property. The guest house was well equipped & I felt safe at all times. Cristina provided me with so much helpful information about Porto & fabulous suggestions to see and do. There are restaurants right below the apartment and others close by. She was always available should I need. I would return to Porto River Guest House in a heartbeat. Obrigado Cristina for a wonderful, memorable stay in Riberia, Porto.

Cons: There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Would highly recommend this hosts properties.

Pros: We were transferred to the apt above as requested by the host prior to our arrival - Everything needed and more supplied by the excellent host. Equipment - maps - timetables. Close to great supermarket( two min walk closed at 9pm) - more than three restaurants and bars directly below apartment. Approx 20min walk into Porto town.

Highly recommended

Pros: Cristina is a fantastic host. She picked us up from the airport, showed us the flat and talked us through places to visit for a short trip. The apartment is lovely, overlooking the Douro and a short walk into town or easily reached by trams & and buses go from nearby stops.

Pros: Almost everything! Great location overlooking the Douro and easy açess to the historic centre; the flat is compact but imaginatively configured and exceptionally well equipped. It worked fantastically well for us for a week's stay. Cristina couldn’t have been a more helpful host.

Cons: Early-to-bed light sleepers might have a problem with the sound of music from the cafe below but we slept really well in the comfortable bed.

Pros: The apartment is wonderful,small but very cozy, it was perfect for us,as we were just two people, staying for two nights. The location is perfect, right at the riverbed and the view from the balcony is spectacular. It's not in the city center but there is public transportation very close to the apartment. It's an easy walk to the Riviera, beautiful root along the river. There is a supermarket closed by, a restaurant and bar right beside it. The host was super nice and gave as a lot of tips about were to go and what to do in the city. There is a fully equipped kitchen a coffee maker,an espresso machine, toaster etc. We really enjoyed the stay.

Cons: We went around Christmas time so it was a little bit cold as there is no heating in the apartment. But our host provided us with a gas- heater which really helped, and lots and lots of blankets, so we managed.

Pros: The host was very responsive and helpful. The accommodation was really nice and the area was a little quieter than the center of Porto. The center of Porto was an easy 15 minute walk from the apartment. Thoroughly recommended.

Cosy and clean apartmet, close to the river and walking distance to the city center and the ocean.

Pros: We were as picked up at the airport by the son of the hostes. He was really kind and even thoug it was very late in the evening he gave us a guided tour of Porto and shared some great tips and trick of what to see and what to skip.

Cons: Would have been nice if we could sit on the balcony, but the furniture and bacony was green and full of leaves from the trees.

Pros: Nice apartment. Great location, accessible, without being in the busy areas of Porto. Christina had excellent communication, and nothing was too much trouble.

Relaxing, wonderful marine view, great host and superb apartment!

Pros: This apartment is the most excellent location. Easy access to public transportation, tram stop in front , hop on bus just a block away..the setting is lovely with a romantic balcony overlooking the River with an ever changing marine activity..colorful and a photographer delight.The apartment is fully equipped with anything you would need. Possibly better equipped than your home! The host has thought of everything you might need. We did not cook in as there is an excellent restaurant below and full deli and bakery a half a block away. Clean, welcoming with a lovely host, you just can’t go wrong!

Cons: We liked everything absolutely no complaints
