Very central, clean and well equipped

Pros: It was central and easy to get everywhere especially the market. Very clean and bright

Cons: Third floor with no lift meant carrying heavy bags up three flights of stairs.

Nice, clean apartment in Historic center of Porto.

Pros: Nice, clean apartment in Historic center of Porto. Supermarkets, Restaurants, Bus stop, Metro and Old market in couple of steps. All what is required for comfortable stay and food preparation was inside of apartment.

Cons: There is no elevator and apartment is on high third floor. If you are coming by car, then be ready to seek for parking. There are some multi level parking places in 300-400 meters, but first check payment options there.

Very enjoyable stay .

Pros: Location .Lovely light apartment . Well equipped . Tv even had 2 English channels ! Any query answered immediately.

Cons: We were on 3 rd floor so access hard work . Lighting on 2 nd floor of stairs was not very good .

Perfect place for a short stay

Pros: The apartment was well equipped and in a perfect location. Metro few minutes away, Bolhão market opposite and nice supermarket next door. Single beds were very comfy with pretty firm mattresses. Quiet despite being in the city centre. We didn't mind climbing the stairs

Cons: It's a bit small for three people, there wasn't much space with the sofa bed unfolded, but would be perfect for two. I wouldn't mind a bit more thorough cleaning.

Great Base for Porto Explorations

Pros: Location wonderful: two grocery stores a few doors down and wonderful public market just across the street. Close to metro. Walkable distances to river, parks, markets, craft fairs and other sites. Apartment has wifi, is bright, clean, w high ceilings & windows that open, V. good bed & linens, full kitchen which incl a clothes washer (but no detergent). Shower great. Host (Sofia) v. friendly and helpful, responded quickly to inquiries and provided info and advice on specific locations. Lots of cafes near by. A superb base for exploring Porto.

Cons: Lots of construction near the apartment. Apartment was 3rd storey up w/no elevator which was a challenge w/ luggage (76 steps!). Couch was a bit uncomfortable and coffee table would have been useful. The following are not complaints, only suggestions for the host. In the apartment, some instructions for washer and induction stove would be helpful for visitors not used to these appliances. A note that the hot water is VERY hot would also be usefum. And the host could give an extra warning about not dead-bolting the main door at street level (again, something useful for North American visitors).
