Fontinha Square Apartments by Porto City Hosts

Pros: Nice and cozy apartment over two floors, equipped with everything you need for a nice holiday. It's very close to Bolhao market and the thriving city center, but located in a rather quiet and placid area. Exceptional

Pros: Great location, smelt lovely and clean when we walked in. We had apartment 3 which was split over two floors with the bathroom and bedroom down stairs so you could not hear anyone above you when your downstairs. The kitchen was well equipped.

Porto Vacation

Pros: It was close Rua Santa Caterina and Laundromat. Has everything you need for a stay with family.

Cons: If you have small kids or people with mobility issues clarify which unit you are getting. We were on the 5th floor. It was ok but if we had small kids going up and down with stroller would have been challenging. The apartment is also on a very large incline which most of Porto is up and down anyway, but good to know before hand. More pillows on the beds would have been great too !

Our stay was Comfortable and Welcoming.

Pros: After an issue at our original accommodation, we were able to book this property at a fair price at very short notice. The team were very welcoming and helpful with a quick check-in for the property. They provided additional towels and bed sheets for our visit to accomodate the guests on the sofa bed. Instructions for check in and check out were very clear which made it easy for us. The property itself was very homely. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were ideal. We had a nice sofa and tv area, a full working kitchen that included an oven, a washing machine, a kettle and a toastie maker, as well as a large glass table that made it easy to play uno and eat meals. The bathroom came with soaps, shampoos and plenty of toilet rolls. The water pressure was good and very warm. Perfect. The property is a short walk from the town centre. 100% would stay again.

Cons: I encountered no major issues with the property. Some shows of general wear with marks on the walls in places but this did not bother us as the property was very clean.

Downhill walk to Porto

Pros: Air conditioning units in each of the 2 bedrooms and also another in the lounge. Excellent soundproofing for the exterior windows. Located almost at the top of the hill, so walk to the city and use Uber (about €5 fare) to return. Some free parking lots exist outside the apartment block and is luck if not already taken by the neighbours or nearby businesses. There are also metered parking lots located slightly downhill. Noticed Police (or may be parking inspectors) walking around the streets regularly so it is safe. Full size fridge with freezer. The washing machine does not have a dryer.

Cons: We were not at the top level apartment and was unfortunate to have to listen to a hyperactive child continuously running around with heavy steps whenever that family returned to the apartment above. We could also just hear the conversations in the adjoining apartment. So, is luck if the neighbouring guests are quiet. However, the mentioned noises stop during night time, so you’ll get a comfortable sleep.

Very comfortable stay. Very happy.

Pros: The location was perfect for my purposes as it is very close to the music school. The air conditioning in the bedroom made sleeping very comfortable during hot weather. The host staff were very helpful and friendly. The free luggage storage at the city centre offices after checkout was also great. The apartment is overall modern and clean.

Cons: Nothing bad.

Good place to stay in Porto for the price

Pros: It’s very quiet Location is good, pretty close to the city center It’s very clean The appartment is correctly equipped to stay a few days Communication with the rental agency was good

Cons: We thought there was a terrace/patio access by default, but there was not, which I reckon was not clear when booking based on the photos provided The windows are quite high and small, so with no access to the terrace it felt enclosed Sofa is not very comfortable
