Duque Oporto Apartment

Pros: Location excellent. Beds very comfortable . Spotlessly clean. Kitchen area really good although no tea towels. Ideal for a couple or couple plus child for a long weekend.

Cons: Could do with more hanging space. Hairdryer needs replacing. I had requested an earlier check in on at least 2 messages to Booking.com and the apartment owner but had no response. Owner hadn't seen my messages. a

Pros: Location was perfect. So close to everything. Beautiful apartment. Light airy clean. Beautiful details. Very comfy beds. Helpful and lovely host. Would 100% book again. Quiet even though on a main road.

Cons: No complaints whatsoever.

Pros: Apartment was nice, clean, spacious and cosy. Owner was very nice and willing to help.I felt very well cared.

Pros: Location is super good, you can walk around and is really close to all the sightseeing. Shops and restaurants nearby.

Pros: Location is perfect. 5min walk from the centre. The place was very tidy and clean with extra towels. Loved the high ceiling. Communication with the host was very easy as well as check-in and check-out. I highly recommend it.

Was o.k.

Pros: The room is centrally located, larger than average rooms, and was o.k., but loud in the early morning (front side to busy road) and when using the heating. Many coffees and restaurants close by. With the key hand-out we got a map and a detailed explanation where to go and what to see in Porto.

Cons: Early contact with the company was a little difficult (response only the day before departure). The bed is comfortable, but had merely a light blanket in October, that was absolutely too cold. We found in the storage shelf material from which we could prepare a warmer cover (otherwise it would be unsufficient). The room has an electric heater, which is however rather loud and works with a timer.

Pros: Amazing location - able to walk to many key sites. Apartment was clean and as pictured. Communication with host was good.

Cons: The second bed was not made up so we had to do it ourselves which was difficult due to the low ceilings. There was also quite a lot of noise from the road at night.

City break with convenient facilities

Pros: The apartment was clean and comfortable, with good facilities. We didn’t hear any noise from any of the other apartments. The bed was very good and the kitchen had a decent array of basic equipment, although we didn’t use the cooking facilities. There is a bus stop on the street which takes you into the city centre if you don’t want to walk, or to Campanhã rail station if, like us, you want to travel to Lisbon. A supermarket was five minutes walk away. It is just a short walk to some good restaurants.

Cons: Another comfy chair would have been nice as one of us had to sit either on a dining chair (never comfy for a longer period of time) or on the bed. The street could be a bit noisy at night, just from the traffic, and we stored our clothes on the mezzanine floor but you can’t stand upright up there.

Pros: Charming main space with high roof, sufficient bathroom. Rua do Duque is not too noisy and close to the old centre.

Cons: The mezzanine has only 1,4m height so you can't stand + the bed is not prepared so we had to search for the sheets and prepare it ourselves. If you need it, ask to have it prepared in advance. No mineral water. Tap water is drinkable but tastes a bit like chlorine. Just 2 coffee capsules.

Good experience aided by support and assistance from the property manager

Pros: Clean, with all facilities required. Main plus was the excellent service from the property manager.

Cons: Minor issues, eg bathroom basin not draining properly
