Republica Apartments at D. Luis I Bridge

Great location for walking and public transport, clean and well equipped apartments.

Pros: The location was excellent, near to General Torres and Jardim de Morro Metro stations, and rail link at General Torres. We had apartment 1.2 which was at the rear of the property, so wasn’t affected by noise from the road. A couple of minutes walk to Luis 1 bridge and the old city.

Pros: Awesome place! It made our stay in Porto so much more enjoyable. It is important to have a cosy place where we can return to after a long day walking and exploring. Super clean. Well equipped. Great location - right next to the tram stop, close to favourite sunset spot in Gaia, and also close to Train stop as we did some day trips by train to Aveiro or Coimbra. The host was very responsive and helpful with all our requests.

Would book it again!

Superb location to explore Porto and port warehouses of Gaia.

Pros: Fabulous location in Vila Nova de Gaia, close to the river Douro, the port warehouses and just a short walk across the bridge to Porto. Wonderful light apartment with high ceilings. Air conditioning was very welcome in 30+ degree heat. Fast and helpful responses from the host.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the apartments. Everything was incredibly clean, the location was fantastic and very close to restaurants, supermarkets and transport across the river. The host made check in very easy and even accommodated our bikes! Definitely recommend.

Perfect location in Oporto for short city trip

Pros: It was very easy and fast communication through the booking.com app. We got a detailed introduction for self-check in. The accommodation itself sits in a perfect spot in Oporto, just minutes by foot from the Ponte Louis bridge. Right in front is a metro station - 10/10 for location. Apartment 1 itself felt a bit dark for us, but for one night everything important has been there.

Cons: In the bathroom the hanger for the towels was barely hanging on, but we did not need it.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay here. Perfectly located with really nice places to eat nearby and a short walk from the river. Very cute and cozy. Was really great to have aircon in every room if needed. The host was also very responsive, any question was immediately answered.

Great deal if you plan to explore Porto.

Pros: Proximity to all city points of interest, walking distance practically everywhere, metro stop just few steps from the apartment, luggage storage with individual locker made the check-in soooo comfortable. Well equipped kitchen unit. Coffee maker with few courtesy capsules was nice ;) Clean shower. Excellent communication with Andre.

Cons: If you're sensitive about tram noise, ask if your room is not facing the street. It can be quite disturbing.

Ideal location for seeing the sights of Porto.

Pros: The location of this apartment is superb. Metro station 1 minute away. A fabulous pastry shop next door and a decent supermarket a little further along the road. Five minutes walk from the famous Luis bridge and all the restaurants and cafes around there. Porto is a stunning city with loads to see and do. Apartment was very clean and has a decent shower. An added bonus with this apartment is access to the garden and secure luggage storage which was perfect as we had a late night flight.

Cons: The apartment had a slightly different layout from some of the pictures which meant that our friends had to switch on the light and walk past our sofa bed to reach the toilet during the night.

Pros: host is super helpful and waited patiently for us to arrive.
