Wonderful place to stay in Porto

Pros: Beautiful house with a soul, spacious rooms, attention to details like extra towels, good lighting or lots of storage space. The rooms are super clean and warm, even in winter. You don’t want to miss Milena’s breakfasts! It was so nice to start each day with a little chat with her and her freshly baked bread and tarts.

Pros: Friendly staff. Nice location. Great breakfast. No shortage of parking space

Cons: No waiters. No a la carte menu. No dance hall. JOKE ! There was nothing I did not like.

Enjoyable, relaxing and fun. Be aware, Porto is very hilly🤣

Pros: Very pretty and comfortable. The hostess was lovely, kind and friendly. Nothing was too much for her.

Cons: It was quite noisy, cobbled road, meant traffic was noticeable, beautiful wooden flooring but was also noisy.

Pros: Everyone who works at the Porto Surf Lodge was incredibly friendly. We were arriving too late for the surf shuttle so they left out boards for us, along with wetsuits, wax etc. - they had thought of everything. The room was comfortable, light and airy, and the garden felt like a hidden oasis.

A home away from home.

Pros: Beautiful home environment, wonderful breakfast and breakfast host - she was warm and friendly. It was nice to connect with other guests in the evening in the shared living space. Free parking on the street right outside was a bonus. It was a quiet street. Easy access to metro (10 min walk) and a quick ride into town. Great restaurants within one block (some need prior booking).

Cons: Sounds within the home resonated throughout but on the whole guests were respectful of noise. I would have liked a different bed cover option - duvet was too hot and thin blanket was too light. To be fair, I didn’t ask.

A hidden gem in the city

Pros: Breakfast was amazing. A buffet with lots of options. The atmosphere was very cosy and the house has a special charm. It really didn't felt like we were in the city, all was very peaceful. Great staff and great surf lessons.

Cons: Can't remember anything. Maybe we should have stayed more time.
