Urban Garden Porto Central Hostel

Pros: The location is amazing, the beds are perfect with a shelf, ventilation and curtains, they have everything you need. The garden is really nice and the place is very clean. I was able to sleep all night with no problems.

Cons: The place is really quiet and the other guests were mainly minding their own business. Maybe it was just the low season, but I prefer hostels where more activities are organised so that people are able to get to know each other. This is the only reason I am not giving a 10 but I understand it's personal preference, if you want a quiet hostel you will love this one! Free tea for guests would also be a great plus :)

Best value for money

Pros: The staff is super friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the whole hostel looked very pretty. The location is great, walking distance from everything. One of the nicest hostels I've been to.

Cons: The bathrooms could use some updating. The lights in bathrooms were automatic and turned off mid showering every time.

Pros: Great hostel. Fabulous staff, and thank you to house keeping for your excellent service of keeping the place clean. Bed space good as is dorm size. Kitchen well equipped. Showers good with very hot water, temperature could be a little tricky to regulate tho. Location great. Wi-Fi ok.

Cosy and easy

Pros: The staff were very helpful and gave me a tour when I checked in. The beds are comfortable and rooms clean. I loved chilling the garden area - an adorable cat lives there and greets you every time. Great kitchen area to use. Overall really good value for money

Cons: It’s not hugely social, but that might just be because I went in December and it was quieter! If you’re solo travelling and hoping to make friends at the hostel keep this in mind.

Great comfortable central hostel in Porto.

Pros: Super central location! Felt very secure and staff were super friendly and helpful. Nice beds with lockers, shelves, hooks, power and lights. Very comfortable.

Cons: Could be cleaner, some mould in the bathrooms. Room had quite a lot of road noise and sound from the street below.

A gem of a hostel that I highly recommend.

Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Caterina gave me an excellent recomandations about what to see in Porto. On checking out day they let me leave my luggage during the day at no extra coast. I stayed there twice and will again if I come back to Porto, which I hope I will. I have stayed in a lot of hostels while travelling and this is a gem of a place. Clean, friendly, safe and very well located from the airport ( direct metro) and in the city center, 5 minutes walk from the central market.

Pros: Central, comfortable, very nice staff,excellent value for money.

The staff here are all very friendly, and there are also two affectionate cats in the garden, it’s a wonderful place.

Pros: There was plenty of space, and the shower water was hot enough. Also, it’s near to metro. On the day I checked out, the staff proactively asked if I’d like to store my luggage in a locker. It was free of charge. That was really thoughtful. Thank you.

Cons: There was some hair on the bedside storage shelf, but it doesn’t matter and I believe they will pay attention for that🥹

Pros: Really helpful and friendly staff - good facilities in the rooms, curtains made the bed cosy and private.

Excellent value, the girls working reception make you feel so welcomed. Great atmosphere & extremely friendly.

Pros: The staff, Katy, Carlotta & Catarina so welcoming. Idea location, extremely clean & tidy, absolutely would recommend.
