Carmo Apartamentos

Pros: Location, the view, facilities and decor all exceeded our expectations.

Cons: Nothing, very happy.

Pros: Carmo Apartment is new, clean, comfortable, and fully equipped. It's located opposite Igreja Do Carmo, and there are many restaurants nearby. A large supermarket is a 10-minutes walk away, and a smaller supermarket is within a 5-minutes walk.

Cons: Need to walk up a slop to apartment, but that fine for us.

Warm hospitality and great support, especially during the holidays

Pros: Quiet area, yet very close to the city center. The hosts were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. We arrived late on Christmas Eve and were warmly welcomed, with bottled water already waiting in the apartment. They took the time to recommend several good restaurants nearby, which we really appreciated. On the next day, we accidentally left the key inside the apartment and closed the door. Despite the holiday, the host came promptly and helped us regain access without any issues. Their availability and attitude made a real difference and turned a potentially stressful situation into a very positive experience. Overall, a very pleasant stay, thanks to the hosts’ hospitality and support.

Lovely apartment with plenty to do, and easy access to everything.

Pros: This apartment was in a block of 7 I think, all owned by the same family. We were pleased with the cleanliness, standard of furnishings and comfort. There was a lovely little balcony to the rear of the property facing South over the rooftops of the block. There was some singing on some nights, which sounded like football fans, but the shutters blocked that out. Tourist sites on your doorstep include Clerigos tower, Lello bookshop and Carmo church. The apartment is in a bit of a university area, with lots of bard and restaurants nearby, and also easy walking distance from everything. Porto's not that big. It does have hills though, and the apartment i near the top. It wasn't an issue for us, but anyone uncomfortable with hills could take the trams and busses. We would happily stay again.

Cons: I really can't think of anything. All the 2/4 person apartments are on floors 2. 3 and 4, with a six person apartment on the first. If you can handle a few stairs, you'll love it here.

A wonderful stay in a charming apartment – everything was just perfect

Pros: Beautiful apartment in an exceptional location – very central and within walking distance from all the main attractions . The building is renovated inside, and the apartment’s Portuguese-chic design is simply delightful – very good size for a family with beautiful details, unique lamps, lovely artwork, and charming tableware. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, everything was spotless, and the kitchen was equipped with every little thing you might need. Monica, the host, was absolutely wonderful – she even left us some cookies and coffee capsules, which was such a nice touch! She was incredibly kind, helpful, and always available with great recommendations. The apartment felt truly pampering, and we would definitely love to come back

Cons: The only downside was that the apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator. It’s a typical feature of many historic buildings in Porto, where installing lifts is often restricted. It was fine for us, but worth mentioning for anyone with mobility issues.

Excellent apartment. Great take for money and great location. Would definitely recommend.

Pros: Very easy to collect the keys and they were very accommodating. Very spacious nice apartment.

Cons: While the apartment had aircon they didn’t get the rooms that cold.

Besides few minuses we found (minor), we are can recommend apartment as all were almost perfect

Pros: Perfect contact with the owner. She answered almost immediately for all of our questions. Location is perfect, walking distance to all of places you are dreaming. Apartment looks very nice/modern and contain all you need.

Cons: We were charged ca 60 euro for cleaning but we were asked to throw out garbage - first time we met such procedure that we are paying for cleaning and asked for doing part of cleaning by ousalves. Door in the bathroom after blocking (being inside) is difficult to open (other person from outside must push the door that you can easy open it (so better not close/block them:)). Lack of lift (being located on the 4th floor this is challenge - especially when walking with suitcases - but this sis something we knew so we know for what we decided. Specific smell of wet air after coming to the apartment - quickly disapear after short opennig of the window.

Absolutely loved this spacious apartment.

Pros: Modern apartment with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Hosts are welcoming and prompt to answer any queries. Fantastic location with the best cafe next door for a morning coffee.

A clean and comforting room and the city was great!

Cons: The pillows we were sleeping on wasnt too comfortable for us. The rest was Very nice!
