Excellent stay right in the heart of Porto
Pros: Stylish apartment right in the heart of Porto - you can see Eiffel's Maria Pia train bridge and Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar from your balcony which is so cool. On the other side of the balcony you have a massive rock which also creates a very nice ambiance. The apartment is very well equipped - all the utensils, dishwasher, a washing machine, a smart TV - we didn't lack anything. The owner is extremely nice, he left some beer and wine for us in the fridge. I also appreciated the window blinds as I like dark bedrooms.
Cons: The only downside I can think of was the bed size - it's not too small but I'm just used to large beds and for the two of us it felt a little narrow, but it's a matter of habit.

Everything was wonderful.
Pros: The guesthouse was simply wonderful. The location was almost in the center of Porto, the room was comfortable, the welcome drinks were great, and even a small supply of breakfast items was provided. The parking was a real gem in the center of Porto. It was quiet, and the washing machine made life so much easier. This guesthouse has everything you could possibly need! The host was also very welcoming.
Cons: The check-in process was a bit confusing, but as far as I understand, that's Booking's fault. Therefore, to avoid similar misunderstandings, I suggest contacting the owner a few days before your arrival.

Pros: Spacious, clean and well equipped apartment in a very convenient location and outlook towards the river and Gaia. Generous 'welcome pack' - milk, juice, bread, croissants, butter, wine and beer!
Cons: Nothing.

Cosy quiet flat with garage on the center of Porto
Pros: The flat is just wonderful, for 2 it was perfect. The owner even came to meet us and he assisted us to garage the hired vehicle. The flat is spotlessly clean. The owner also prepared quite a few items related to food and drink, bread, milk , a couple of beers, croissants, oranges , apples etc. and a bottle of Duoro wine was the cherry on the cake. Much appreciated. The flat is located a couple of streets away from the centre, and this was most convenient. There are restaurants galore and a supermarket a mere 150m away

Pros: The location of the property was excellent with close easy access to major attractions as well as restaurants and supermarket. Its elevated position offers a fabulous outlook over the river & bridges.

Pros: Casa do Dol is a superb apartment very close to the Ribeira and Gaia areas. Although close to the city centre it is extremely quiet. The apartment itself is delightful and has everything you could wish for. Fernando met us when we arrived and was very helpful with recommendations for both restaurants and things to see and do.

Pros: The apartment was really well situated in the heart of the old city. It was beautiful, clean, tidy and well-equipped. It even had nice views. Fernando was very kind and hospitable and it was very easy to be in contact with him. He had bought us some food and drink to start our vacation with. Next time we travel to Porto we'd like to live in this lovely and well-situated apartment again.
Cons: Everything was fine. Nothing negative to say.

Lovely apartment, good location, and a thoughtful host. We recommend.
Pros: The apartment was very nice. We enjoyed having drinks on the balcony. The location was close to the main sights but also nice and quiet. Fernando provided very helpful information, snacks, and even drinks, which we very much appreciated. He is a very thoughtful host with good taste in wine!

Pros: Spectacular view across the Douro and easy walking to many of the main attractions. And all this in a peaceful, quiet neighbourhood, with secure onsite parking a bonus. The extra friendly Fernando met us at the property and provided a list of things to do, restaurants etc and a welcome pack of food to get us through the first day or two.
Cons: Not a dislike, more a warning. The carpark entry is on a different street to the apartment’s front door.
