The apartments' building dates back to the 1950's and has been fully renovated, while still maintaining most of its charm and traditional features. Great place in a lovely city. Definitely a recommendation! Lovely hosts. Great communication.

Pros: Very comfortable and nicely designed apartment on 4th floor of the building. Perfectly located in the historic center - we walked our way to all points of interest.

Cons: We did not cook as there is such a great variety of restaurants and bars in walking distance. But in case you plan to do so you might miss a dishwasher.

Central location and quiet.

Pros: Clean and comfortable apartment in the heart of the city. Very quiet.

Cons: 3 flights of stairs to the apartment so not for anyone with walking difficulties. Also second bedroom does not have an outside window.

Authentic Porto Apartments is EXACTLY that... AUTHENTIC... you will not be disappointed!

Pros: This was our third stay at Authentic Porto Apts. It is close to all things touristy and fun! A 5-minute DOWNHILL walk will get you to the Ribeira district with its fantastic scenery and the Douro River views. The apartment is also close to many attractions, the Bolsa (Treasury Dept.), Sao Bento Train station, Clergios Tower. Lelo Bookstore are all within a 5-10 minute walk. No need to rent a car if you're staying within the city limits. In terms of decor, the apartment is just as pictured in the photos. Stone walls line the interior of the apartment giving it an authentic feel and the rooms are comfy, clean and cozy. Our host met us to hand over the keys and collect payment. (you pay when you arrive at the location). A wonderful experience overall.

Cons: Having to lug our suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. It's an older heritage building so there is no hope of ever getting an elevator added to the building. The uphill climb to get to the apartment from the Ribeira area is ALOT, but that's just the way Porto is built.. ALL UP HILL!

A perfect place to stay in to discover lovely Porto

Pros: Super central location, but very quiet at the same time. Simple but functional. Lovely staff, with great communication.

Cons: The partition wall between the bedrooms is very thin so make sure no one snores or speaks too loud!

Pros: Brilliant apartment very spacious, stylish and comfortable. The location is excellent just a short walk to Ribeira and local sights. Hosts very friendly and helpful arranging our taxi transfer for return flight.

Pros: We loved everything!!! The location was perfect. The apartment was well appointed. High quality fittings and fixtures. The beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom/ shower was excellent. Would definitely recommend this apartment.
