A great short visit to Porto that was enhanced by our property host and his great apartment.
Pros: Outstanding location in the centre of Porto. Easy access to the City and transport links. Great facilities and comfy flat. The host was excellent (and amusing) in giving all the directions required to access the apartment. Was happy for us to leave our bags on our final day too as we had a late flight.
Cons: Nothing.

Perfect Apartment. Perfect to Everything either walk or metro
Pros: This is an apartment. It had everything we needed including a microwave/ovenette and a jug as I don’t drink coffee. There was a coffee maker and coffee and filters for the coffee lovers. A fridge, sink, cutlery and crockery including tea towel and soap etc. The room is large and lots of windows and French doors. Due to the building being on a corner in a “V” shape we had light and air from three sides. The wooden shutters block the light in the evening. The bathroom is a bit small but still enough room to move. The owner is a framer and the shop is on the ground floor. Guilherme showed us everything and even had some great tips to see and do things. We arrived early so we were able to leave our bags. The shop is about 10 minute walk uphill from Sao Bento station but around the corner from the metro so very handy. We walked everywhere from here. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Cons: Nothing. Through no fault of the place there is major roadworks right out front however there was not a lot of noise in the morning and not enough to wake us up with the shutters closed. I’d love to come back and experience walking up the road to see the little house on the corner without fencing nearby one day.

Pros: The studio was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was good, it had a kitchen area with a hob and microwave. I had what I needed during my stay. The studio had quirky paintings on the walls which I loved. The location is excellent, so close to everything. Guilherme was welcoming, polite, and helpful. He has a wonderful framers shop downstairs which is worth seeing. A wonderful place.
Cons: Things that are out of the control of the owner of the property. The roadworks that are currently happening very close to the Framers House can sometimes be quite noisy in the morning, depending on what they are doing that day. The road workers seem too be getting on with the job quite quickly so hopefully they will be finished soon. Then it will be quite peaceful. The people in the room above on a couple of nights were heavy footed and banged about a bit quite late at night. This is down to awareness of the people staying in the place above. After a few glasses of wine, beer, cocktails or port they probably forgot that etiquette, they hopefully had a great evening out and about in Porto, so all is forgiven.

Minimal apartment on a fantastic location!
Pros: Fantastic location. Main attractions and old town are in walking distance. Great access from the Trindade station, which gets you directly to the airport.
Cons: The top floor is very small for a family of four. The furnishing is very basic and has extremely limited kitchenware. Construction is still active on the square in front of the building.

Lovely apartment in a great area.
Pros: Lovely apartment,a nice size and everything that you need. Guilherme was a great host and gave us some good recommendations.
Cons: Road works right outside the apartment. Started at 8am and finished at 5pm. We were out all day so it didn’t affect us then, but we like to sleep in, so it was an issue in the morning.

Authentic Charm and Prime Location...Just Bring Earplugs :)
Pros: Guilherme is a great host – helpful and easygoing! The Framer's House has a genuinely authentic, artistic atmosphere and an absolutely fantastic location, just a short walk from the Trindade metro (main metro station in Porto) and the lively Mercado do Bolhão (historic food market). The convenience of a small kitchen, complete with a fridge, two hot plates, and all the essential utensils, means you can easily prepare your own meals. And with a supermarket close by, as well as plenty of restaurants, you'll have lots of options for dining.
Cons: While the house's authentic charm is wonderful, it does mean soundproofing isn't the strongest. If you're staying on the first floor, be prepared to hear the footsteps of guests above – it can sound quite close!

Gorgeous stay in the heart of the action.
Pros: The apartment completely exceeded our expectations. It was so beautifully decorated inside and super clean. The host had thought of all the extra touches to make our stay comfortable. Including providing shower gel, shampoo, a hairdryer, plenty of towels and other sanitary products (It just meant we had more space in our case (important when only using Ryanair hand luggage!) They also provided some kitchen basics and a large bottle of water. The dining table was a lovely space to all sit after a long day exploring. Despite being right in the heart of the action, the room was quiet and relaxed. I loved that you could walk straight out into the city centre and have everything on your doorstep. Including being a few minutes from the beautiful market. Also the Garden restaurant a few metres away does the best brunch! We loved our stay and would definitely return and recommend.

Excellent location, brilliant host
Pros: The location is extremely good. It is very close to a main metro hub (Trinidade) and easy walking distance from the main streets and centre. There is also a decent supermarket nearby and numerous cafes, bakeries and restaurants. We travelled around Porto by foot and only used the metro to get to a nearby town (Vila do Conde - nice beach and a pretty, quiet riverside walk to Santa Clara). The host (Guilherme) is friendly, efficient, and communicates well. The property itself is attractive and interesting and reasonably well equipped.
Cons: Only minor things. There are a few things that could do with a little maintenance: The sealant around the shower could do with being replaced, the fridge door scrapes the floor, one window shutter does not close properly. The main thing is that the coffee machine really needs some instructions (things that need explanation: that only 1 of 2 of the buttons work, what the various light flashes mean - cleaning cycle / empty tray / add water / heating). Also, do be aware that for this particular accommodation ('One-Bedroom Apartment'), access to the sleeping area is via a steep, open staircase and through a loft hatch-sized opening. This is only really suitable for reasonably agile people. However, there is also a sofa-bed in the main living area.
