Cardosas Story Apartments by Porto City Hosts

A delightful vacation

Pros: Location is perfect ,very close to many attractions . It’s a spacious ,well facilitated apartment thoughtfully designed with lots of wardrobes to store our stuff . We felt cozy at home with everything we needed: cooking utensils ，toaster, oven,washing machines ,dish washer,dryer ,and even sugar,oil and salt etc. At first we had trouble with the entry code and called the host. She was very responsive and sort things out shortly. We enjoyed staying here so much.

Cons: A construction work was being done nearby and it caused some inconvenience and noise when passing in and out .Anyway it’s not the apartment’s fault and the issue was quite common in Porto and nothing anyone can do about.

Beautiful place. It was a great choice.

Pros: The apartment is spacious. It has everything but a clothes dryer. We greatly enjoyed our visit.

Cons: We were given a passcode to the door that had missed steps. The numbers given needed to be broken up and followed by other buttons. We were frustrated and called to get the correct instructions. There was a lot of construction going on that made going about the neighborhood very difficult.

We loved our stay at Cardosas Story Apartment and would be delighted to stay there again.

Pros: We loved the fact that it was like a home from home. We felt very relaxed and free there. We had everything we needed in the apartment. The location in the old town was very good. All of our questions were answered very quickly and expertly on WhatsApp. We were able to store our luggage with Porto City Hosts after checking out. It was a bit of a trek to the office which was very easy to find and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: We always stay in hotels so we weren’t used to keying in codes to get into a property and only making contact by email or WhatsApp. We were glad that we had booked with booking.com when we arrived at the location as we had no idea what to expect. Once we saw the apartment itself we were delighted.

Great apartment, comfortable and all amenities provided. Quiet location

Pros: Super apartment. Comfortable, clean and quiet. Great location - close to station and walkable to a lot of old town attractions Great little market just outside. Central, but no noise at night

Cons: Found property ok, but had trouble using the code provided and accessing the building, which I notice someone else has too. Not having my own wifi had to ask a passer-by to help and call the office I'm sorry but the shower head is a little odd and very difficult to use (getting it to point in the right direction and stay there!!) - maybe consider changing it??

Pros: The property is very well appointed with a well equipped kitchen and utility area. The location is the main plus point, since it is right in the heart of the historic district in Porto but is actually very quiet. Additionally you can walk out of the door at street level and shops and bars & restaurants are seconds away. Highly recommended.

Pros: That apartment is excellent, very roomy and comfortable bed in a great location.

Cons: The heatpump wasn’t working properly but after a quick message the technician came and it was fixed

Pros: the apartment is beautiful looks much better on real then photos. very central to everything and felt cosy.

Cons: the aprtment is run by a renting company, that if to be honest made me feel unwelcome and despite we really loved the appartment it self, the attitude of them was really nasty. i was on holiday for few weeks in Portugal, many apartments and hotels...but never had a bad taste surly not before i even saw the place.... imagine you in a taxi with suitcases and outside it's an heavy rain, and host refuse to give you the key code till you pay the F city tax like life depends on in, and by link to some website you don't know...for almost 10 minutes they Argue with me on whatsapp that \

Perfect as a comfy and spacious base for exploring Porto

Pros: We had 5 nights in this apartment which is spacious, clean and well located for the Station, Metro and tourist sights. It was central but pretty quiet, especially with the windows closed and there was a lovely weekend makers market outside on some days. It had all the facilities we needed for an independent stay and plenty of eating places very close.

Cons: Not a dislike but if you're needing to buy supplies/food, there's a little shop fairly close but pick your time to shop as it's BUSY!
