I recommend for short stays.
Pros: It was so authentic place. Was close to center, you’re able to walk the center if you like to walk. Bathroom and bedroom was clean. We were so satisfied to stay there.
Cons: Everything was ok.

Pros: Great accommodation, very well located and close to city center. Price really good for what it offers! We enjoyed it a lot! The host was very accomodating with the check-in, which was nice.

A simple and comfortable stay with a few quirks
Pros: Great location near the bus station and not too far from the city centre. The price is great for the size and facilities — lots of thoughtful little touches made it feel really homely and welcoming. We were allowed to leave our luggage before check in. Perfect for a couple of nights!
Cons: Not the most charming neighbourhood, with several run-down buildings and a construction site just across the street. As mentioned earlier, the space felt a bit musty — including the towels and bed linen — likely due to its lower-level location in a residential house (a detail I missed when booking). A 4 PM check-in felt quite late, and the bed was a bit on the narrow side.

Great space for a short weekend trip.
Pros: The apartment was just a 15 minute walk from the old center of the city. The check in and out process was super easy and the hosts were available for anything and very flexible with times and leaving our luggage after check out. The space is big, facilities are clean and overall the room was great for a short weekend visiting Porto.
Cons: The room is in the basement with little windows facing the street so it doesn't get a lot of light and you can sort of hear noises from outside. But the street isn't super busy and we stayed in the room just for sleeping so we weren't really bothered by it.

Awesome!
Pros: I enjoyed my stay here. I felt very welcomed and safe as a solo traveller in Porto! Nuno was extremely helpful sharing his knowledge of the area. Large bedroom and bathroom, kettle and mini fridge all very convenient! I will be back!!
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The host family is very friendly, the apartment is located in the basement (with windows) of their house, but it is well-separate and we could spend our time privately. There is also a garden in which you can spend your time. The room is very big and the design is super-colorful we really like it. You have a lot of space and there is also an entrance with microwave and a sofa.
Cons: The window is open to the street, so if you are sensitive to noise it is better to prepare with earplugs for a good night's sleep.

The best in this price
Pros: An interestingly decorated room in African style. Nice hall with a TV and books. Spacious and comfortable room and bathroom. Microwave, kettle and refrigerator in the hall. Possibility to use a private garden. Very nice and helpful owners. Very flexible with time and quick response to messages. A great handwritten notebook with tips about Porto. Localisation of the apartment is very good, there are shops and Lidl nearby. About 20-30 min. walking distance to the city centre (old town) which is close.
Cons: Due to the fact that it is a basement in a tenement house, it is quite damp and dark. you have to turn on the lights during the day. The windows face the sidewalk, so you have to watch out for people passing by and dust from the street. Opposite the building there is a church that rings every hour and sometimes plays longer melodies, which may disturb your relaxation. It is not possible to lock the room.

Amazing polite hosts and spacious safe room in a great surrounding
Pros: The hosts are amazing - Francisca and her daughter are very polite and they provide you with amazing recommendations for the sights and restaurants in the city (that significantly improved our stay). Our room was on the ground floor (a bit below, so one must use stairs) but it had enough light. There was a living room which was apparently also used by other people but we haven't seen anyone, so one has a lot of space. The surrounding is very nice and it felt safe. It's only 20 minutes on foot from the city center. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Cons: I didn't like that one couldn't lock the room, but the house felt very safe so we didn't mind it. I would definitely recommend staying here despite of this detail.

Pros: Francisca and Nuno were exceptional. They were so welcoming, we had a great chat where Nuno explained the bits and bobs of the city as well as recommendations on local places to eat or original things to do and see in Porto. The accommodation was really nice and spacious, we had pretty much a flat for ourselves. The choice of furniture and decorations blend perfectly together and are very artistically oriented. It was a true joy staying at this beautiful home, definitely made our experience more genuine and made us feel like at a home away from our own.
