Classic and warm!

Pros: Friendly owner and staff. Clean and good space room with inspiring furniture. Very good location. Good restaurants nearby.

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The room is very beautiful and the location is great, but the best bit was how hospitable Maria and Julia were to us. You can tell how much they care about this place and it is so nice to be a part of it they made us feel so welcome and we genuinely felt part of their family. We will definitely return. All our love, Sam and Joanna x

Thoroughly recommend this place - charming

Pros: Magnificent heritage building with wonderful original decor. Maria, the owner, really cares for her guests and takes enormous pride in the property which has been handed down through the generations. Staying here is a wonderful Porto experience if you like the old world charm that Porto has to offer

Cons: No lift was a little bit of an issue, but the staff are kind enough to take your luggage up and down for you. But of course original properties of that era did not have lifts.

We loved it!

Pros: It is unique. It’s a beautiful old building but the rooms are very spacious and modern bathrooms. Location is very central.

Pros: Very nice breakfast and the people working there were great - very nice and helpful! The area was also nice.

The one and only place to stay in Porto

Pros: A unique hidden gem in the center of Porto. Once you are through the doors you immerse yourself in a beautifully restored palace Museum ran by amazing hosts who deeply care about giving their guest an unforgettable experience

The best and most personal hotel experience ever

Pros: A unique hotel close to the centre of Porto. A very personal welcome by the staff and owner of the hotel was the start of an exceptional 4 day stay in Porto. The hotel is discretely situated in a small street and when we opened the door to the hotel we found ourselves in a beautiful original house with original paintings on the wall paper, hand painted decorations and furnitures to match the originality of the entire house. All is carefully renovated with the hotel comfort in mind. We had a suite to the garden and experienced some of the most quiet hotel nights ever. The owner and staff finds an exceptional pride in their work and in maintaining the house and the hotel standard and were providing outstanding assistance and advices to visits in Porto. By far the best, most personal and most outstanding and unique hotel experience ever.

Excellent 4 day stay.

Pros: Very interesting old house and well positioned to explore Porto. Close to restaurants and a short walk into the old town. Very clean and quiet. Ricardo and Maria were excellent hosts and couldn’t be more helpful. Breakfast was amazing.

Ein Aufenthalt mit besonders Charme in einer spannenden Umgebung.

Pros: Ein besonderer Ort mit Charme und Historie und einer charmanten Gastgeberin. Man füllt sich wie in einem alten Palast. Und wir wurden herzlich begrüßt.

Cons: Dass die Räume im Winter doch sehr kalt und feucht sind. Glücklicherweise haben wir, nachdem wir das angemerkt haben einen Radiator bekommen. Sonst wäre es zu kalt gewesen. Kein Fahrstuhl vorhanden, was uns jetzt nicht gestört hat, aber wer nicht gut zu Fuß ist....
