Great location in cute Portugese building

Pros: Location is great, breakfast simple but fresh and more than enough. People working there very nice and accommodation. Garden villa was clean and perfect for a couple or single.

Cons: Garden villa was cute but cold in February, and could use some small maintaining.

Pros: Love the location. 10 min walk to most tourist spots but far enough away from crowds that we had peace and quiet.

Pros: The pillows are very comfy. The accommodation is very clean. The breakfast was good quality with a good selection. Staff is very helpful.

Cons: The water was luke warm, warm enough to take a shower but not hot enough for my liking.

Nice stay, warm staff

Pros: The apartment is located across from a park and very quiet at night. The building is older but full of charm. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: the faucets in the bathroom and kitchen don’t have a smooth flow and split into several streams, which can cause splashing.

Excellent location & breakfast, Great Amenities, But Poor Service & Hospitality lacking.

Pros: • The Location was incredible just in front of the Palacio Crystal walking distance to the city centre • The house was beautiful with a historic vibe well curated & with pretty good amenities. • The breakfast spread was impeccable

Cons: • Hospitality & Service was poor no warmth, Towels were not changed during room cleaning although on request new ones were provided. Very cold, unhelpful staff. Even during check out the same was reflected despite carrying out heavy luggage. • Door opening system with cards is not user friendly- requires practice and aid- both for appartment main door and room door. • Insufficient lighting inside the room which the owner remarked as subjective. Might be so, but lights should be made availaible, then less could be used as per convenience of user. • Main issue was no telephone- had to go from the second floor to ground for any issues. Also seemed to be a home run enterprise pretty short staffed- inadequate professionalism. • Room space utilisation- although room size was decent and even a small beautiful balcony was provided to the inside. Space utilisation can be made better as it feels cramped due to less space in gron • Room Door would open in case neighbouring room door was opened/ balcony door was opened- old house minor issue but gave us a mini scare late at night when it happened.

All in all a very good stay and good value for money.

Pros: Was very good value for money and excellent location. Bed is nice and big and comfortable.

Cons: Room had a kettle but no coffee or milk. The breakfast was good but very limited- nothing warm and the pastries and bread were not fresh

Comfortable and quiet night at the Predicados do Douro

Pros: Fortunately I selected a room with a view of the back garden otherwise street noise might have been an issue. I loved the tall balcony doors and sheer curtains in our room, 4 pillows and air-conditioning. The decor of the house is pleasant but the dining room was extra inviting and most relaxing especially at breakfast time. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good range of cold sweet and savoury, we very much enjoyed the cheese and cured meats platter. From the main train station, we caught the metro to Lapa then backpacked over which took us about fifteen minutes.

Cons: Minimal staff interaction, luke warm water in the shower, and the noise from the cafe drifting through the guesthouse at night time until 10pm.
