O2 Hostel

Pros: Excellent location with a fabulous bakery close by. Laundromat within walking distance. Quick walk to the station.

Pros: Very clean and thé rom very confortable. My house in porto

Pros: Friendly staff who cleaned the hostel several times a day. The building is very old but the staff did and excellent job. Plenty of bathrooms.

A cosy old-school hostel in a great location.

Pros: Great location, nice interior and atmosphere, kind staff, well equipped kitchen, cosy back yard (even had clotheslines).

Cons: The bunk bed was a little rickety.

Everything matched the price perfectly

Pros: Everything was great! The location of the hostel is very good — easy to access and close to everything. The place was clean, and there were mosquito repellents in the rooms, which was a nice touch. I was allowed to check in earlier because there was availability, and I really appreciated that. They also kindly offered to store my luggage for a few hours after check-out. The girl at the reception was very friendly and spoke excellent English — which is quite rare in Portugal!

Cons: The only thing I could mention is the lack of a towel, but I already knew about it from the reviews. But, it seems to me, tyat you can rent one for a small fee, but I had my own small travel towel, so it wasn’t a problem. Overall, everything matched the price perfectly — no reason to look for flaws at this rate. Highly recommend!

Really good experiance just need to added some things

Pros: I hope you are doing well. The kitchen and bedroom are clean, and the location is very nice — I really appreciate that. However, I would like to request a few improvements for a more comfortable stay: The mattress on the steel beds and the pillows are quite old and should be replaced. The rooms need better ventilation, as they get very hot. The bed sheets also need to be changed. Slippers and towels were not provided — it would be great if these could be included, as they are basic necessities for guests. Thank you for your understanding and for taking care of these requests.

Pros: Good kitchen to cook but not fully equipped, very clean, lower bunk can't sit upright and making too much noise if person above moves, cleaning starts too early at 8.30am,floors & doors making too much noises but we'll it's an old over 100years old building, so it's lovely in many ways if u don't mind. Small courtyard, there are 2 kitchens actually. In my oppinion there are too huge, too many dorms, meaning too many guests around always but perfect location!! U can store yr bags for free, walking distance to santa Catarina etc. Safe areas that's how I felt walking at night alone. Metro just a Stone throw away. If you're lucky not to get snorers in yr dorm but I did and was awake all night long!! Many long term guest due to lower cost /reasonable stay I guess. Great strong shower & consistant hot water supply! Very clean everywhere.

Cons: Cleaning lady started too early.. Not many places to hand clothes, no Laundry facilities /washing machine /dryer.

Pros: The building, the beds, the room, kitchen, garden, location, bathrooms, friendly staffs(Julia&Jenny) you can leave your baggage for free. I will be back again soon before leaving Porto. I was there in September. The only issue I had was I couldn't sleep for all night long due to the 3 Snorers who shared the 6 bed dorm with me!!!(I was unlucky) The man below my bed was super angry and he kept knocking on the wall in hope the snorers will stop but no chance!! He also went in & out of the room few times as he just can't sleep like me & others too I'm sure. Perhaps I may suggest the hostel politely check with guests if they do snores during check in? So that hostel can place them in the same dorm together? Otherwise it's impossible to sleep because you'll have a night with some SUPER AMAZING BEST ORCHESTRA going on all night!! Go figure..

Cons: Nothing, only snorers if they're sharing the dorm room with you..no kidding.. Also, no light by yr bedside, no place to put yr phone, glasses,etc but they have a free locker inside the room.

Pros: Clean room, good for one night, private bathroom, not far from city centre

Cons: Beds are squeaking if you move 😅 and bathroom is private to room but is just thin wall, and not entirely up to the wall - but it's clean!

Very nice place to stay, excelent staff specially Edmar

Pros: The hostel has a very beautiful colonial architecture with a very well done renovation for modernization. Everything worked well and was well organized. Highlight of the staff for Edmar, an extremely agile, polite and helpful person. I had good conversations and tips about the city.

Cons: Unfortunately, sharing the refrigerator doesn’t work. People don't respect me and my items disappeared. It is not the responsibility of the hostel, but still, hope that your purchases do not disappear from the refrigerator as it is the only possible place to put perishable food. About the staff, the Brazilian girl were impolite, more then once, ignoring me when I needed assistance.
