Canto De Luz - Luxury Maison

The place to stay in Porto!!

Pros: From the minute we arrived at Canto De Luz every thing was brilliant. The staff were all very thoughtful,helpful and friendly. The atmosphere, decoration and design are amazing. Breakfasts were delicious, varied and beautifully served. It is a real oasis in an interesting city. We would love to return and will be recommending to family and friends. An enormous thank you to all!!

Pros: Great location. Superb boutique hotel with a fantastic staff. From the minute you arrive the staff cannot do enough to help you. Breakfast was wonderful. Room was beautiful, modern technology to operate lights, shutters and air con.

Cons: This is only my personal view but I could have done with bigger shelves or extra shelves in the bathroom.

Stay was too short! Hope to return one day ❤️

Pros: Beautifully designed, comfortable, clean, great facilities in the room and throughout the property. The staff are the real jewels in the crown - all so cheerful and friendly and happy to help with any query. It is a little walk to the main touristy area, which was good for us as we prefer not to be in this middle of the craziness!

Cons: Can’t see how it can be improved to be honest! I’d definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends.

Pros: Breakfast was spot on - good range of menu choices; service was quick and friendly. The location was very good - easy walking distance for us (in our 60s and not super fit) to all the things we wanted to see. Nice pool area. The staff were very helpful and friendly, both before and during our stay. Our room/suite was spacious, comfortable and clean, with good facilities. Nice walk-in shower. Enjoyed the small patio for just us.

Cons: Could have done with more wardrobe and drawer space: bit limited for our 8 night stay. Slight privacy issue from the room's skylight (set in floor of the hotel's main terrace area).

Pros: Location, clean, helpful staff, the little pool was a bonus. Breakfast was lovely but limited choice

Cons: Unfortunately there was a lack of hot water in the bathrooms, not enough water for our group to drink. When we booked we thought we were getting. 2 separate living rooms and 2 kitchens… so the description can be a little misleading. That said it was lovely

Great place to stay, close to the city centre.

Pros: Everything. All the staff were wonderfully attentive and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was great.

Cons: Our room was at the front of the building, so traffic noise early in the morning was a bit of a problem - especially the bin lorry!

Fabulous

Pros: What a gem of a hotel. The staff were all attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were out of this world with wonderful daily specials. The room had everything you needed, fabulous shower along with rituals toiletries. It was great to have a room code and no requirement for a key card. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
