Nice stay

Pros: Self check in was easy because the host communicates via Whatsapp. Room had everything it needed + nice TV. Bathroom is modern. You are not far away from Ponte Luis and Jardim do Morro!

Cons: Room is facing the street, but it is relatively quiet.

Pros: Loved the set up. The communal area was nice as some of our colleagues had also rented rooms there.

Cons: Not so much what we didn’t like but instead feedback, it needs better lighting in the bedroom and bathroom for doing make up! Some hooks in the bathroom to hang the towels. The mattress was very hard, so I didn’t have the best nights sleep.

Perfect base for visiting the port houses

Pros: Great location for our port tasting expedition, and easy to get to by Metro from the airport. Clean and comfortable room. Firm mattress (which my back needs!). Great water pressure in the shower! Found a small shop just down the road for basic supplies and coffee, and a lovely cafe a little further down the road that became our regular brunch spot (we didn’t end up using the shared kitchen or fridge, but it was nice to have the option. Very clear instructions and very responsive host :-)

Cons: Not much sound proofing - but there wasn’t much noise so not a problem when it came to sleep.

Good value for money, great location, decent room

Pros: Room was clean, quiet, meet out basic needs Great location, can walk to river front in 10 min, and can reach Porto side by walking in 20 min

Comfortable stay in lovely apartment.

Pros: The room was very clean with a lovely comfy double bed. The temperature in the room was great. I was concerned it might be very hot visiting in July but the room had high ceilings, was very modern and I only used the aircon once. The shower was powerful. The host was very responsive and helpful. It is only a 12-15 min walk from Ribiera across the Ponte Luis 1 - lovely to see the view of the city from Vila Nova de Gaia. As a lone woman it felt very safe. It's nice to have a stroll along the waterfront - it feels more classy than Ribiera and is where all the big port houses are located.

Cons: Nothing really. It'd be great if there was a little shop nearby for tea and milk. It was good though to have the snacks machine and coffee dispenser machine (though I didn't use that one). Handy nonetheless.

Spectacular stay

Pros: I couldn't rate this place any higher. It was incredibly clean, easy check-in/out. The location I loved personally as being able to see Porto from across the river every morning is spoiling, and it's a very pleasant walk to the main town. As a solo female traveller I also felt very safe.

Nice hidden gem in Gaia

Pros: The room was perfect and very close to the center of Gaia, so perfect if your plan is to visit wineries. It is also quite next to the bridge so it is not an inconvenience if you plan to visit Porto. The host was amazing, she adapted to my schedule and was available for the self check in, and doubts at any time. If I happen to visit Porto again I would choose again this place!

Comfortable

Pros: Easy check in. Good location. Good communication with company. Very helpful allowing us to store bags until our flight.

Cons: The neighbours had a very noise dog that barked a lot ! on the balcony outside our room.

Pros: It’s really good value for money. It’s in a brilliant location, the staff were great at communicating at check in and it was really clean and comfortable. It had everything you need for a short trip and would absolutely stay here again.

Cons: Like a few other reviews say, it is very noisy I think due to the thin ness of the walls. You can here everything from dogs barking outside to other people’s alarms. It you’re a light sleeper, or maybe wear some earplugs! I only really found it to be an issue at night, during the day most of it is drowned out but the noise outside. That’s my only drawback, but it’s not that huge of a deal for me!

Clean and good location.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable room. Room nice and dark at night time.

Cons: One night the bedroom beside us was snoring all night and we could hear very clearly. Also there was a dog barking alot in the morning. Our Uber drivers also really struggled to find the accomodation so we always got the Uber from a local restaurant.
