Pros: The location is perfect, just 5 minutes from a nearby metro. The room is very spaciou. The bathroom is new and clean, giving you a comfortable shower experience. The owner, Joana, is extremely helpful and friendly, who is taking care of all your needs.
Cons: As it's an ancient building, there is no evaluator that might be hardship for those carrying heavy luggage to go up and down stairs. And it would be super perfect if there was a balcony in rooms !

Comfortable and fantastic stay at Joana’s

We found this to be an excellent place to stay when visiting Porto - highly recommendable.
Pros: This is a B&B in which the guests share a single breakfast room and a large table, which we enjoyed as an opportunity to meet the other guests. The breakfast itself was classic continental, but with a nice selection of fresh fruits. The rooms were quite large, very comfortable and squeaky clean. The house has been lovingly renovated. The house is within walking distance of the historical center of Porto, roughly 15 to 20 minutes depending on your goal. The hostess is very friendly and helpful, with lots of suggestions and tips.
Cons: Car parking is a problem in this corner of Porto. The house is unable to offer parking but can recommend an app with which parking can be managed. It is possible to park on the street, but the parking \

Truly exceptional – felt like home!
Pros: This was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed at! From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, as if we were visiting friends. The room was cozy, spotless, and the whole place had a warm and inviting atmosphere. Breakfast was outstanding – fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. The location was ideal: close to the city center, but in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We were also kindly allowed to keep the room until our flight, which made everything so much easier. We couldn’t have asked for more – an unforgettable experience!

Pros: Our host Joana, was very warm and welcoming, giving us lots of tips, recommendations and a map on arrival. The beautiful guest house is located in a quiet street, but within walking distance into the main tourist areas and close to a couple of great restaurants and coffee shops ( combi coffee roasters was our favourite). The bedroom was large and spacious with comfortable bed and modern, squeaky clean bathroom with great shower. We loved the uncluttered , minimalistic design and appreciated the top quality linen and towels provided.

Pros: Quiet, spacious airy room in a beautifully maintained town house complete with wooden floor and high ceiling. Very attentive host who waited up until after midnight to welcome me personally.
Cons: Nothing to dislike, a small fridge would be nice during the jot weather

One of the best stays of my life
Pros: This is by far the best experience I have ever had staying anywhere across the world. Joana went out of her way to make us feel welcome and to accommodate our needs. We were travelling with our 7 month old, and she made all sorts of provisions like washing our sheets when he had an accident, letting us check out later to make us as comfortable as possible. Then the room itself was huge, extremely clean and just absolutely gorgeous. The bed was comfortable and there wasn't any noise so we slept like babies. I would come back to Porto just to stay here!

I had a lovely stay at O da Joana. Joana was an extremely kind and generous host, and the room was beautifully presented
Pros: Beautifully presented and well preserved historic building, spacious room with great facilities, a nice breakfast and Joana was a superb host.
Cons: The location is slightly out of the centre but a close enough walk and away from the busy tourist hotspots.
