Pros: Large, light, comfy bedroom. Fantastic shower. Quality furnishings. Artwork throughout the house. Great breakfast.

If we would come again to Porto definetely we'll stay again in this place.

Pros: Very central and easy to go everywhere. Very close to metro and buses. The amall hotel is very clean, and has everything you need and more. They clean the rooms every day. The property is a traditional house fully and perfectly renovated. Also our room has a balcony with view. Nice and fresh breakfast. Best of all... is Teresa who take care of us in everything, and Margarita the manager of the property who was so kind. Girls, thank you for everything..hope to see you soon.

Pros: The Location was excellent, well positioned to visit all areas of the city and close to public transport. The staff were extremely helpful advising on places to visit, bus routes etc. The breakfast was exceptional.

Pros: Beautiful room, big size very comfortable beds, we loved breakfast every morning meeting Rebeca, George and Margarida. The staff really go above and beyond for us. Our 7 month old baby loved all of the staff, and we made good memories here! Great location, right in the heart of Porto, easy to get in and out, felt very secure and there was a great view of Porto from the terrace floor.

Cons: If you travel in October Porto can be quite rainy so the humidity can be a little high in the rooms maybe because it is an older building. Need to run the aircon alot to counter it.

A very nice, cosy & comfy accomodation

Pros: Interior setting and decor are tastefully done, very cosy and warm. Rooms are spacious, neat and comfortable. Staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Cons: Noisy aircon unit in room that requires spare parts changing or new replacement.

Pros: What a beautiful place to stay in Porto! So authentic, unique, full of details… Location is perfect. Hosts are amazing and super helpful. Our room was spacious, bright, very clean and super comfortable. They made sure every detail was in place. Garden, pool, piano room, library…We enjoyed it all very much. We’ll be back for sure!

Wonderful stay at Caso Do Cativo

Pros: We loved our stay at Caso do Cativo in Porto. The location couldn’t have been better — close to everything yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful. The service was excellent throughout, and the breakfast was a real highlight — fresh, beautifully presented, and a lovely way to start each day. Our two bed apartment was the perfect size — spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We loved our time and would definitely stay here again.

Cons: The only downside was the pool area, the water was green during our stay, so we couldn’t make use of it.

This is THE place to stay in Porto. We’re recommending it to everyone we know!

Pros: We loved our stay from start to finish! Margarida and the team were brilliant. We knew our room wouldn’t be ready due to our early arrival but we were allowed to store our bags and change so we could go off sightseeing. We returned and were directed to our room and found our bags had already been brought up for us. The room is gorgeous - large and spacious with a fantastic view and all the amenities you could want. The whole property is beautiful from the entrance to the garden and pool to the library on the top floor. Breakfast was such a treat too, we absolutely loved it. The location is great, super central and very close to Sao Bento station. Thank you so much to all the staff who made our stay in Porto so special, we wish we’d stayed longer! We’ll definitely be back.

A wonderfull stay in a beautiful place with an exceptional hostess.

Pros: Everything. Beautifully restored and decorated old house just uphill from Sao Bento Station. Our hosts, Margarita & Jorge were exceptionally hospitable: friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. Breakfast was excellent as was the location.
