Convenient location near São Bento

Pros: ☆ The room is spacious, making it easy to open and organize luggage. ☆ Dorm beds have privacy curtains. ☆ Cleanliness is acceptable overall.

Cons: ★ The wooden floor creaks when people walk, and the automatic door lock makes a loud sound every time someone enters the room. ★ The hostel is within walking distance of Porto São Bento station and the metro, but the nearest alley leading to the hostel sometimes has people hanging around who can feel a bit intimidating. I passed safely every time, but for peace of mind, it might be better to walk via the street that passes the Porto Cathedral instead. ★ Sound insulation is poor — I happened to stay during Halloween, and could clearly hear the party noise from the street and downstairs throughout the night.

Pros: Location, cleanliness, great facilities, and happy vibes. JP is one of the guys who works on reception he is so warm and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He went way and above the call of duty to help each guest. Thank you JP.

Cons: Meil or Niel one of the other guys on reception was rude, unfriendly, and not helpful at all. It seemed like he did not like working here. I am not going to reduce my 5 star review because of one staff member. It would be unfair on the others who work so hard.

ideal location and space

Pros: the female room is very spacious. and there is a locker underneath the bed. seperate washroom and bedroom makes the bedroom cleaner. great location. 2 min walk from the cathedral.

Cons: it could be noisy in the morning. Bring your earplug. and the ideal way is to sleep early and get up early. The girl in the front desk is very nice. not the others.
