The Editory Garden Porto Hotel

Nice hotel, pleasant and well worth the price.

Pros: It was a spacious bedroom. Caterina on reception was very friendly and helpful when we first arrived and the bar staff were lovely.

Cons: I’m a tea drinker me there was no milk provided with the complimentary tea and coffee in the bedroom. Also the tap in the sink in the bathroom could have flowed stronger but on the whole the bedroom was nice.

Wonderful hotel with lovely staff

Pros: If I ever had to pick only one hotel to stay in for the rest of my life it would be this one. The atmosphere was so relaxing and calming. And the staff was really dedicated and interested in your wellbeing.

Cons: There was nothing that I disliked.

Pros: The room was beautiful, check in was quick and easy and they were so helpful. Great location, staff were lovely. Bed was so comfortable. The view was a bit of a shame, garden views would have been so much nicer. However, my boyfriend pre arranged a Valentine’s Day package with the hotel and they were so helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much!

Cons: The view was a bit of a shame, garden views would have been so much nicer. The phone in our room didn’t work so we had to leave the room and go to the bar to order room service. The menu was also wrong in the room. We ordered something and they didn’t have it on the menu. Also our bathroom door didn’t lock

Pros: I liked design, restaurant area, location and helpful staff

Pros: Staff wonderfull everyone so helpfull and friendly breakfast was.great .room cleaned daily.with.fresh towels .comp .drink ticket for bar

Pros: The staff were so nice and helpful. Our room was spotless, there was a mini fridge and plenty of room to hang up our clothes for our 3 day stay. Our room was cleaned everyday, new bedding , water ,tea etc. Our towels were exchanged for clean, soft ,big bath towels every day. Beds and pillows , temp in room... perfect.

Cons: Now, this could be our fault but we didn't book b&b but on the website we were told we could buy our breakfast if we wanted to. We came down to breakfast on our last day and it wasn't a problem for us to get breakfast BUT we were told that they weren't expecting us to have breakfast, so we had eggs ( 1 poached egg and 1 boiled egg) other than cereal , that's all that's on the menu.. eggs. We paid €30 ... !! Don't go there ... we know. So, if you planning on having breakfast.. let the staff know in advance.

Overall it was a perfect hotel for our group and had a lot of positives

An oasis

Pros: The hotel is well placed not far from the centre and is an oasis of calm. The staff were incredibly helpful when we rocked up with 5 large pieces of luggage between the two of us and showed us room options which would make it easier for us to move them all around and keep them all with us. The concierge on duty definitely went above and beyond. The room is really nicely decorated with good lighting options.

Lovely room and friendly staff

Pros: The room was great, really quiet and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast had a very nice variety. Staff were always very attentive and friendly.

Cons: The water from the bathroom tap had terrible pressure and would not flow properly. The coffee at breakfast was very disappointing: the machine used is definitely not a good one and should be replaced.
