Nice boutique hotel in the centre of the city.

Pros: Very centrally located hotel within walking distance of all major attractions. The front desk & all staff were wonderful & went out of the way to help us feel more comfortable. Large room with a balcony, excellent bathing facilities, toiletries & hot water.

Cons: The weather on the first day.

It surprised us the generous space, the “home from home\

Pros: Very nicely refurbished, great style and ambiance, retaining most interior architecture features, with simple touches of contemporary design.

Cons: Nothing!

A perfect stay in lovely Porto

Pros: A stunning hotel with beautiful design and spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed our room. The decor was super chic, the bathroom was beautiful. The breakfast was done so elegantly in a wonderful dining room. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We would stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel with many traditional features.

Pros: Perfect location just outside the centre and easy to walk to the centre and many attractions. The hotel is fabulous. Our room was beautiful. Very traditional with tall windows with wooden shutters. Extremely spacious with lovely furnishings and decor. Twin sinks and twin showers. Breakfast was good. Continental but also a choice of eggs. We opted for omelettes with fillings. Everything brought to the table. Breakfast staff were polite and keen to please. Reception staff were really helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Will definitely stay again.

Carefree and wonderful

Pros: The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. Both when checking in and during the breakfast, every effort was made to make our stay an enjoyable one. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. When they learned of my girlfriend's birthday, the staff had written a birthday card and left us two glasses of port when we came back from the city.

Cons: The rooms that face the street side may be noisy if you're a light sleeper. There's double glass and wooden shutters to keep the sound out but especially during the weekend, you'd have the occasional loud motorbike roaring by. If you're a light sleeper, opt for a room away from the streets.

Convenient but pricey hotel in Porto

Pros: The location was conveniently walking district from all of the different tourist areas and was reasonably quiet. The room was huge. The double shower alone was bigger than many hotel rooms I've stayed in. The decor was a cross between industrial (lots of bare pipes) and Edwardian, but wasn't particularly comfortable. The only place to sit was the bed. Breakfast was excellent and served in a room akin to the Majestic Cafe. However, we missed out on the tapas and drinks there because they weren't served during our stay.

Cons: The bed and the rom itself weren't really comfortable and cozy, so it's good we didn't spend a lot of awake time there. Personal taste I guess. The remnants of a hurricane generated a fair bit of rain one night that created a water feature at 3am in the morning that we had to deal with. They did apologize for the inconvenience but could have perhaps comp'ed us something in our room. Bottle of wine maybe. Price wise, this hotel was expensive and there may be more cost effective alternatives in the area.

One word! - fabulous

Pros: The lovely laid back ambiance of the hotel and the delicious relaxed breakfasts

Cons: The sound insulation between the rooms - but difficult in an old hotel with wood/tiled floors

Pros: From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The rooms are truly something something special, romantic with high ceilings and a great size in the middle of the city. Breakfast every morning was a delight and the team serving were so friendly and attentive. The whole team were just so helpful and made our stay memorable.
