Se Catedral Hotel Porto

Pros: Location was very good and the staff was very helpfull

Cons: 1. The bathroom was big but there was no enough toiletries even no glasses for water so I had no opportunity to put my toothbrush and razor. 2. There was no pen and paper to write some notes 3. The mattress was old or of a poor quality because one side of the bed was significantly more pressed through than another 4. They took deposit 50 euro for a night.

In general, we can recommend the hotel.

Pros: The room was fine, with a fridge, and there was limited traffic noise. It’s in a good location, near the metro, buses and restaurant areas. The restaurant staff were helpful, going out and buying gluten- free bread for my wife’s breakfast, the bar staff chatted to us in the evening, the reception staff were helpful in telling us where to go and even the cleaning staff helped look for an item we had lost. They provided little peaks (20% discount off a meal, coupons for one wine each), and cold orange juice by the entrance.

Cons: There was only one reservation about ordering a taxi to go back to the airport. We came with Uber for 17 Euros, but since I did not know how to pre-book Uber, I asked how much a taxi would cost – in November I had taken one from just outside the historic centre, a little closer to the airpoty, for 23 Euros. I was told it was 35 Euros, and since I felt I had no choice, I accepted that. But this turned out to be un-metered, clearly a private arrangement between the hotel and the driver. I thought there could have been more transparency about this, in which case I might have booked the taxi myself.

Well worth a stay in Porto

Pros: It’s central position & boutique nature, close to Luis Bridge & historic area

Cons: Rear room view not great

Pros: We had a very pleasant weekend at Se Cathedral Hotel. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore Porto. We really loved the decoration of the hotel, which is stylish and welcoming, as well as the services offered, which made our stay very comfortable. Above all, the kindness and helpfulness of the staff truly stood out and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect place with perfect people

Pros: Simply, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Porto. The hotel is perfectly located, the breakfast is very good but, above all, the staff are excellent - welcoming, friendly, helpful, perfect ambassadors for their city and Portugal. I’m sorry I didn’t take the name of the beautiful woman on reception when I checked in but she really is the most perfect host. I want to go back to Porto and I will definitely stay here.

Perfect place from which to start our Camino Portuguese

Pros: Breakfast was good. Nice range of hot food and cereals and breads. Good selection of fruit juices. Staff were extremely helpful and very welcoming. Great people.

Great place to stay in the heart of old Porto

Pros: Very comfortable, with lovely views of the old city. Very convenient location, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent and comfortable

Pros: The views were incredible, the room was spacious and we loved the products. We were extremely grateful for the macarons left in the room and the complimentary drink. The staff working there were extremely accommodating and couldn’t have done anymore for us, thank you for a wonderful stay.

Cons: Everything was excellent, a skeleton did make me jump in the lift which made me laugh

A pleasant stay in the heart of Porto

Pros: The location was perfect just in the centre of the city. The staff was very friendly. The bed very comfortable. Breakfast was okay but with good coffee.

Cons: Inside the room there is a smell. Also not a lot of things in the bathroom like cotton for the face. And the quality of sleepers very poor for Hilton.
